New Hampshire Mills
After photographing the deserted houses and stores in the Bahamas I became interested in the effect of economic change on infrastructure. I wanted to bring this same photography and economic connection to our local area of New England; the first thing that came to mind was the many beautiful mill buildings. The decay and renovation of these buildings reflect our country's shift from manufacturing leaders to almost entirely service oriented. Growing up walking past these buildings everyday and paying little attention, it was a gift to take the time to notice the unique architecture of these buildings and how it changed over time.
